Acoustic Guitars are a classical style using nylon strings and are hollow.Classical Guitars have nylon strings and produce a much softer sound and is suited for classical and latin style music.

Acoustic Steel-Stringed Guitars can have 6 or 12-string. They have a good variety of sound variations from a brassy, folk style to a fuller, more driving sound. The quality of the guitar like the body shape and the types of wood used determine the quality overall.

Acoustic Bass Guitars are wide-bodied guitars and used for accompaniment in ballads, certain types jazz music .

Electric Guitars are what they call the workhorse of rock music. Electric guitars require an amplifier to produce sound properly. The two most popular basic shapes of electric guitar are the fender Stratocastor and the gibson les paul style.

Electric Bass Guitars is used for rock, dance,hip-hop, funk and rap music. One of the distinguishing features of the bass guitar is the slap style. Slapping is done by repeatedly striking the string - usually E or A on a standard tuned bass .

Archtop guitars is hollow or semi-hollow body acoustic or electric guitar which uses steel strings and has an arched top which creates unique resonance. They also tend to have f-holes on the top.

The Twelve stringed guitar is usually an acoustic instrument. Twelve string guitars have string like a regular six stringed guitar, but they also have a second set of thinner strings, usually tuned up an octave, beside each regular string. They produce more of a ringing tone in sound and are much harder to play.
